This build has been going on for nearly two years so I wasn’t sure whether to put the thread under current or past builds. I opted for the latter as most of the components were ready for assembly shortly after my first post on the Forum - the Ferrari 156 Aero. The 1962 Dutch Grand Prix marked the first World Championship appearance of the Lotus 25 - a car which radically changed grand prix car engineering. There’s nothing special or unusual about this build. I used a Dave Jones shell, a (very) simple approach to the chassis (brass rod and plate and an AB Slotsport bracket – much modified to fit the narrow confines of the Lotus’ rear end) and conventional running gear (FF030 Solarbotics motor, Ranch Design gears, RS wheels, Slot.it guide). The only mildly different feature is that the front wheels are entirely independent of each other – there is no axle between them. An Immense Miniatures Jim Clark and Indycals decals provide the finishing touches. I’ll let the pictures below explain the rest. The only thing missing are the wheel inserts - only just finished spraying them! Best Regards David

I agree...nice mesh over the inlets. Decals set it off, oh, and the screen rivets and...
I dont want to mention the excellent suspension detail though.
