Hi all, just going through my box of unfinished, never bothered-with masters and bits and found the stack pipe BRM with those little sideways humps out of the back fairing. Please don't ask P number. I don't do numbers. But you clever devils will all know which one it is. Any interest in my finishing it? Mr. Munter? F'erinstance?

I think someone already does a resin, remember old23 ( Stewart) building one, and it was not from my casting.

Chris is the old Scalex BRM a 578 ? Seem to remember some one commenting on it. This one? Yes. Phil thats a BRM P-578 This is a Stack-pipe, AKA BRM P-57 (David Mitcham's car from a Dave Jones body) Phil I did some checking, in the VRAA races the only BRM P-578 I could find was RIR/Peter's beautifull rendition from a Dave Jones shell. Dave Jones did great renditions of both the P-57 Stack-pipe, and the P-578. (and just to add more confusion, the P-57 ran with low location exhausts as well.

So one way or another, a new one would be appreciated? Nobody will use that Scalex thing and Dave Jones' bodies are hard to get. OK, I'll dig out some plans and pics. being, as ever, careful not to use a Fisher drawing.

It was this one I was thinking of,built by MMMoose back in 2012.,P58. Petes car was here last year for the Tasman, nice build.

Sorry I was away during this discussion. Chris, you are (of course) correct. Phil, that latter pic is Ken's P48 (not P58) the 2.5 litre car as entered in the Tasman Proxy.
I still have an unbuilt Dave Jones P578. Are they no longer available from him? I also have an old Super Shells plastic body that I somehow acquired back in the 60's. It is a very nice rendition and as delicate looking as the DJ shell. I've been meaning to build it up. Maybe 50 years waiting is long enough?

In 2011 I had built one using a unknown body (dating from the 60´s?) for a resin-casting. I think, the body is not too bad: It shows Lorenzo Bandini in the 1963 Silverstone race in a Scuderia Centro Sud-car

Taffy that's a nice build, it's not a Dave Jones or Classic, I wonder who made that shell?
I also saw the real car at Brands Hatch during the Race of Champions, it really stood out against a sea of British Racing Greens.

OK This is begining to resemble an Agatha Christy novel. Who dunit. Here's Martins Stackpipe BRM, that came from Ken's resin cast, from an old clear lexan body. Is there a family resemblance too Taffy's BRM P-578?
