I've allready posted this on the 1/32 Scale Slotcar Scratch Builder thread on Facebook, (Apologies all round I should have posted here first) But here it is: a work in progress, Tazio Nuvolari's 1932 Alfa P-3.
Chassis by Beardog/Richard Mack, body by Marlon at Shadowfax. Wheels will be by Peter Seager Thomas, and a Nuvolari driver naturally will be by Marc at Immense miniatures.

Agreed Al; one of the delights of going to vintage (1:1) car events is to see the mass of burnished steel and polished aluminium etc. This 1/32 scale slot car build looks to have similar awe inspiring features.
Peter.

Hi Al, here's a photo of the chassis, It started as a Richard Mack slimline. The front portion was modified to resemble the typical 1930's beam front axle. there are a few more details that have to be added. I added a small rattle plate to add some weight down low, and fashoned a new guide plate to move the Shadofax guide under the front valance. The suspention details are attached to the body, unfortunately the Shadofax body does not provide a separate replica chassis like George Turners pre-war cars. The friction shock absorbers are turned down small washers, both fromt and rear.

Thank you - looks similar to the AB Slotsport chassis for some of the PreAdd bodies.
This is for a 4CLT Maser. The rattle pan was added and an adapter fashioned to mount an FF-050 (slimline) motor

Lovely Chris Do you clear coat your chassis to stop the metal from dulling off and tarnish?

Well all my previous Alfa P-3 photo's have disappeared, I can only assume that post image exceeded it hosting capabilities, and had to open a new hosting area. Ah well, the Alfa is complete and Mr Nuvolari is very happy with his latest ride. My thanks go to, Marlon at Shadowfax, Richard Mack for the partial chassis, Peter Seager Thomas for the as usual fantastic wheels and last but not least Marc at immense miniatures. THANKS GUYSAnyway hear she is:
