I recently purchased one of the new Airfix Aston Martin DB5 kits to build for my daughter – she has taken a fascination to James Bond’s Aston Martin and wants Daddy to build her one.
The kit is very simple, so simple that the wheels are the tires with an insert for the spokes held to the axle pin with a two arm “knockoff” hubcap. As it is for my daughter, I would like to make the wheels (& tires) a little more realistic (ie open spokes) if possible. Does anyone know where I can obtain both the wheels (with open spokes) and tires for a 1/32 scale DB5? Would be nice if I could also find the three arm knock off hub caps use in the movie Goldfinger. Checking online, the DB5 came standard with the two arm and were later upgraded to the three arm.
Any help (websites or suppliers) would be appreciated.
Regards to all.

I think this thread should be reposted on the Sports car Forum, now here on the F1 Forum
I agree Phil, and it will be as soon as Herk responds, he may not be aware of the sports car forum.

Hello Herk, Welcome to the F-1 forum. This forum is dedicated to single seat, F-1, indy and other open wheeled racing cars. We do however have a Sports Car Forum sister sight. Could you please direct any further questions you have regarding your Aston Martin on that forum. sports-car-132-forum.proboards.com/Thanks in advance, Chris Admin

Thanks Phil and Chris for the guidance on both the locations and the more appropriate forum to use. I was focusing on the wheels rather than the vehicle type when I posted the request.
I guess the location information in my profile did not fully come through - I live near Raleigh, North Carolina, USA.
Thanks again - as I start the build, I may need further guidance.
