Hello everyone.
Can't believe I have only just found this forum.
Yeah I am signed up on the 'other' big old slot car forum but this is right in my wheelhouse.
Was thinking about building a particular model for the track and did a basic search to see if it had been done. It has, so will be chasing one of those if it becomes available to the masses.....
Joe Santos. Old. Reside up in the North East corner of London. Spent years building 1/43rd and 1/25th and 1/24th model subjects after drifting away from slot cars back in my college years in the early 80s..
Kinda done more or less everything I wanted at those scales so looked for something new and gravitated back towards getting a bundle of slot car models done after the prices in the 1/43rd market went silly and the 1/32nd material just got better and better.
Got a rage on for material that covers F1 and Indy cars from 1976 to 1979 and will be looking at F1 1983. Discovering as much as I can about the hobby what with the 3d printed chassis now out there and various engine pods etc to mate to what I build.
Recent projects include a 1978 Williams FW06 and a Hesketh 308E using SRC M23 chassis components.
Main objective for me here is to learn. Sure I will.
Regards to all.
Joe

Hi Joe, and welcome. There is a wealth of information here but sadly not much going on. I'm as guilty as anyone of not posting my recent work. We were always a fairly small group and as FB took over we dwindled... I do check in a few times a week to see if anything is going on so feel free to post. Who knows, maybe I'll post some things too... Andi

Andrew! Hello!
Noticed it was a bit quiet given the dates but lovely to look through what has been put together before I turned my own cut and paste urges towards this realm. Don't do faceache I am afraid, and noticed that it is becoming THE platform for exchanging ideas and getting one's product out there. Maybe I will just have to finally sign up to that too. But glad to be here.
Lotta nice projects been put together on here that should not go un-noticed.
Keep well
Joe
