David, this is another "WOW" one!
I like the wiring, the rear spoiler and the mirrors on their thin mounts!
Would you please add a picture from the chassis? I´m very interested to see, how you combined the brass and wire chassis with the Policar motorpod!
Best regards, Taffy

Thanks Taffy. Here's a photo of the chassis. The wire side rails are soldered to a brass plate screwed to the bottom of the motor pod - there are two small holes at the rear of the pod in just the right place and suitable for self-tapping screws. Then I solder another plate under the front of the pod through which I insert a screw to attach the pod. The rest is fairly standard practice. I do this rather than use a 3D printed (eg from Pendle or Shapeways) or plastic front end as it allows me to solder on the nickel silver suspension detail. The disadvantage is that its heavier than a printed or plastic front end. Best Wishes David

Thank you very much, David, for the additional picture and for your explanation. Looks like a very good "hybrid solution" for using the Policar motor pod!
Best regards, Taffy

Thanks for posting David, another superb accurate and complicated build. Do you find the Policar pod chassis has far superior handling than your regular chassis? Regards Nigel

Hello Nigel
Thanks for the kind words. I wouldn't say the Policar pod chassis is superior to a conventional build in terms of outright performance. It definitely has better braking but does impose some design restrictions on the rest of the chassis. The main reason I use them on F1 cars is that it allows me to achieve a much more realistic, and neater, gearbox and suspension set up than I could with say a U-bracket and a crown gear.
Best Wishes
David
