Nice build as usual Stu, and it has already proven it is fast.

Excellent as usual, Stu. I really like your approach to chassis building and the suspension detail. What wheels and tyres are you using, please?
Best Regards
David

Yes it went well in the first race Phil, Be interesting to see how it fares down in Tassie Have I missed a thread on the Tasman here on this forum? There are a lot of good builds to show and haven't seen anything of the Tasman here. Thanks for the compliment. Hi David, The rears are BWA 15" with Paul Gage XPG 21083 tyres, front wheels I machined myself, They take the same donut type tyres that the BWA true to scale 13" wheels accommodate, however, these wheels are true 15" scale. The tyres are my own concoction, whilst not ideal in looks, they are to scale for the Dunlop 5.50 x 15" and they serve the purpose well. Fronts a difficult to source. I always love reading your build threads , they are very thorough and clever. Thank you for the compliment too.

Stu there was a thread created, but it hasn't been used yet: f-one-thirty-two.proboards.com/thread/788/2016-tasman-cup-proxy-series

Thanks for the information Stu. I thought the tyres were Paul's, I've been using them too - an excellent range and product. I checked the DART website for the BWA wheels but most of them are out of stock and Art is trying to source a new supplier/manufacturer.
It would be great to see some more Tasman cars on this Forum and builds for the VRAA as well. I hope to be posting some progress on my VRAA entries later this week.
Best Regards
David

Another jewel-like car...fascinating! I see websites that document hand built brass chassis cars from the 60's - the so called Golden Age of slot cars. I wonder if in 50 years time, some slot car enthusiasts will be appreciating the workmanship of this car? This car, along with so many other cars on this site, looks to be the equal of anything I've ever seen from the past. Lovely Stu, thanks for posting!

Thanks Matt. I wonder how popular piano wire will be in 50 years. Most the pictures will be lost in cyber space somewhere no doubt.
Cheers Stu
