My good friend Stewart has taken a break this year from the VRAA proxy to host a special all Canadian event celebrating 50 years of F1 in Canada and our 150th year as a nation (drum roll please…rim shot) Brilliant idea. Now I realize I'm no genius of scratch building but never the less this is my effort. The proxy will be held on all Canadian venues this autumn. Painting of the Beta fibreglass body and making modification at the rear and finishing took great effort and many days…stops for refueling my creative energy were not frequent but necessary to assuage my frustrations. So the Ferrari runs on Penelope Pitlane chassis, with lower trailing arms, and suspension soldered in place, wheels are old BWA, axles and gearing by slot.it, tires are Ninco rubber fronts and old Ortmans saved for a special builds rears. Power is Pendle/Penelope FFcan according to Sean 25,00 rpm at 12 v. Pickup shoe came with the chassis. The body is mounted with a single post I glued in place and upper suspension details are attached to it. Drivers head and wheel inserts are D'Arts Paint is Tamiya jar and rattle can. I started out with proper squared out Ferrari numbers but they were too old and disintegrated. Time constraints forced me to fall back to the last of my Mongram 69's for the race. Clear coated the works. Car runs great but is it a winner? Enzo seems proud. Hope this side is seen several times by the opposition
