Personally, I will not bother with Photobucket again.
They started off, in my opinion, as the number one hosting site. I would hope that a few of my pictures may have attracted people to the Photobucket site and those people would then view the regular advertisements, mission accomplished.
The rot started setting in when the page kept defaulting to advertising sites, making the posting of images take twice as long. It was also impossible to turn off the junk mail.
Since Photobucket were unwilling to display my pictures, I removed those pictures and closed my account. I see no reason to open it again.
Does the watermark denote a copyright I wonder?
Peter.

Very good news for the history buffs among us, though I won't be returning to PB as my host of preference either.

My issue about posting is that on my iPad I cannot resize images and proboards say they are too big so won't accept them..... It's not really about Photoshop anymore for me. Andi

I have always hosted my photos over on Slot Forum International
link
Although they lost some old threads as part of a remake a while back, all of the photos survived.

Hello folks,
I'm glad to see that the links have been restored.
I also noticed a Photobucket watermark on many of my pictures.
Sadly, I have nothing new to share. In the event that changes, I'll look for a new photo sharing site.

Mark, it's so good to see you again. You seem to have disappeared from my FB feed. Not sure what happened.
Chris, while this is great news regarding historic Photobucket images, I have just been alerted that all my Postimage pics in my 1967 GP Canada threads have gone missing. I know that recent Postimage links from me on other forums are still intact, so I wonder what has happened here on F132? Any ideas?

Mr Huber lives!
Stewart, I seem to remember that Postimage had a hiccup a while back. I cannot remember the fix but there was one. I hope someone more savvy can help.

Contrary to some rumors circulating, I did not join a monastery in Llasa.
I did, however, deactivate my FB account. The decision was rather abrupt, and I didn't advertise it beforehand. For those of you who had it, you can still reach me at my old email address.
I continued to follow this forum until the Photo bucket pictures disappeared. I haven't used Photo bucket since that service went to hell in hand basket. I don't recall how I uploaded photos to SFI before I started using Photo bucket, but I can probably figure that out if necessary.

Stewart, I seem to remember that Postimage had a hiccup a while back. I cannot remember the fix but there was one. I hope someone more savvy can help. I did a couple of spot checks on some of photos that became invisible in my 1967 GP Canada Proxy threads. It appears all the image addresses have changed at some point between when I linked them to F132 and now. I can edit the posts to update the addresses one at a time, but that would involve over 150 individual operations and a whole lot of time. I will try to contact someone at Postimage to see if there is any kind of "universal fix", but I'm not optimistic. Stewart

FYI if you use Photobucket's "free" image hosting...
I just received email notification from Photobucket that starting June 1, 2019, that "Free" accounts will be limited to 25 MB. If usage exceeds 25 MB, all images in the account will be blurred.
Up until now, my free limit had been 2 GB.
I've deleted most of my photos and still cannot get down close to the 25 MB limit. Photobucket does not show the file size of my individual photos, so I cannot determine which photos to delete and which to keep. End result is that I'll need to delete everything except maybe 4 or 5 photos.
C'est la vie.

Matt,
I've also had enough of Photobucket. At John Warren's suggestion, I started uploading and sharing my pictures using postimages.org. I'm pleased with this photo sharing site.

Hi Mark,
I'll post photos on this site using the handy file-attachment feature. Thanks for the referral to postimages, will give it a try.
