This model depicts Francois Ceverts Watkins Glen winning car from October 1971. Built using a Betta & Classic fibreglass shell, the model runs on a scratchbuilt 'torsion bar' brass chassis.

Hi Dave,

what a beautiful piece of art you have created. If my memory serves me correctly I watched that car run at the Glen.
It was wonderful to see it in practice and even sitting in the pits. Such flowing lines whether moving or sitting.

The chassis you have built is quite interesting to see, I am still learning about the torsion style chassis.
The 2 nuts I see on the chassis where the back joins the front , are they for adjustability of the torsion.

I remember riding my Honda motorbike with a cousin and camping gear to the usually muddy fields at the Glen.
It was a wonderful experience.
