(From March 2014) “The rules for the event are intended to promote the building of cars that are beautiful, accurate to scale, represent the cars as they raced and are fast. and, Concours judging is part of the series. Points earned in Concours will be added to the entrant’s overall score and be counted the same as one race. and, 5. CONCOURS D'ELEGANCE The organizers will determine the method of judging. Each entrant may supply a reference photograph of the car being represented. The amount of personal ingenuity that goes into the model may result in higher marks.” The hosts and racers at each venue voted by secret ballot and awarded each car a minimum of 1 point up to a maximum of 20 points based on model making ingenuity, historical accuracy and finish. Racers and hosts did not judge their own cars if they had an entry in the series. In those cases, the average score for that car was added to ensure that every car in each race received the same number of total scores. Results were sealed, and the scores were compiled and checked by the organizers on November 3. So without further ado.. I envy all those who hosted and raced because they had the opportunity to see these wonderful cars up close. We often say, “Pictures don’t do justice, etc.” However, given the many excellent photographs taken by entrants and hosts before and during the series, I will not repeat that phrase. But…from past proxies, I know it is a special treat to be able to race these cars and hold them in one’s hands. Our judges had a difficult task as this was an outstanding group of cars. I know the decisions, while carefully made, could not have been easy. Congratulations to our Concours Champion, Chris Wright and his podium mates, David Mitcham and David Lawson. These are beautiful, well-constructed cars. Congratulations to you all, there were many brilliant cars on the grid; the pictures in these threads bear evidence to that

The result chart says it all, apart from Chris and David M a step ahead of the field there is nothing in it between the next five places from third to seventh. This really does illustrate the excellent standard of this event.
