1956 Lancia Ferrari D50 and 1950 Alfa Romeo 158 Alfetta useful additions to the F-1 world, but IMHO the Lancia looks great, but Dave has him beat on the Alfa.

I found the cockpit sills a tad too low on the Dave Jones Alfa and I was very careful on how I trimmed the out so I did not remove too much material. It takes hours more work on the Dave Jones body shell making the rear drivers compartment bulkhead, fitting the dash and fabricating the exhaust. I also expect to see some type of front suspension with the GTM kit. I do have both of them on order along with another of his Talbots. Here is the last photo of my Dave Jones single exhaust Alfa 158 in progress. I need to take a new one since it has progressed a little farther. The wheels are SCC CB Design insert wheels that have seen some lathe time to narrow them up for the correct width tire, the left over space on the wheel became ribbed brake drums. The inserts are from Penelope Pitlane. Photos from the Era for the Lancia/ Ferrari D50 in the GTM configuration are here, courtesy of Look Magazine. www.barhopperchallenge.com/2011/05/scuderia-ferrari-from-silverstone-to-monaco-life-magazine-may-1956/Ken i225.photobucket.com/albums/dd308/mmmoose1/Alfa%20158%20project/IMG_0001-2.jpg [/img]

I had the chance to paint a GT Alfetta recently for Diogenes. I liked the separate grille piece and the fit is excellent. The little resin chassis seemed well up to the job too. Suspension detail was cleverly portrayed 'twixt body and chassis. Louvre detail was very crisp.
