Just in time for Easter, the group of figures for the campsite has been completed and has taken its place around the fire.
Now the fire just needs to be wired up.
At the same time as the campers I painted the figures for the bus and more workers for the harbor.
Here are the harbor workers. Barrels of freshly caught fish are loaded into the Citroen HY, the quantity carefully monitored by the buyer:
And what looks here like a scene from a horror movie - the monster's giant fist rips the paneling off the bus with a jerk, the bus driver decapitated, the passengers terrified! - is, of course, completely harmless. The driver still gets a more official head with a peaked cap - but this still requires an impression and a cast. The passengers, however, were definitely allowed to take their seats with cleaned clothes - hence the fresh colors.
I also made an effort as far as the rest of the vehicles on the island of Jersey are concerned. The can of primer was shaken up anyway, so I primed a whole bunch of bodies and some of them have already been painted.
Of course you recognized the small red Standard 8 with trailer immediately on the photo.
In medium blue shines already the transporter for the fish store "Mac Fisheries", in light blue a camera vehicle of the BBC.
On the lower right you can see a Lindbergh-Jaguar XK120, which is meanwhile built up to a pace car and parked in the paddock. The empty space next to the pit building, which had been prepared for some time, had bothered me so much recently that I had lined up the Jaguar directly behind the standard on the assembly line.
The very basic kit was spiced up a bit by me with home-cast resin wheels and a reach into the box of gems.
There is also news on the subject of perimeter advertising: the tire company Avon did not want to leave the field completely to the manufacturer Dunlop after all and chose the hedge to the paddock as advertising space for their products:
So much again for now.
Happy Easter!
